For more than 30 years, Sri Maiava has been a force in the fashion , beauty and creative industries.  Born in Queens, NY, and raised in Hawaii,  Her career had its roots in her early teen years when she was hired by a prominent Music magazine.  This evolved into a role as staff photographer, thrusting her into coverage of International Stars the likes of Aerosmith, Rod Stewart and Led Zeppelin.  This was the genesis of her photographic acumen.

The mid-80's highlighted Sri's career as a fashion model, with opportunities from coast-to-coast including appearing in Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Elle, and walking the most prestigious international fashion catwalks,  Her recognition as a photographer also grew, and it was her work photographing storefronts on NY's famed 5th Avenue that solidifies her passion.

The organic evolution was to open a full-scale studio and she chose a fashionable Chinatown, Honolulu space.  More Models &Talent was founded, which grew into a formidable International model and talent resource with over 800 talent in her stable.  She became a Fashion Editor and Photographer for a local Magazine, and designed editorials that led Hawaii's fashion scene.  Amongst her achievements was winning the prestigious White Award for Best Fashion Editorial.

Her philosophy for work and life is; Love what you do and it will love you back.  Her great enthusiasm for working authentically with people is reflected in the vibrant dynamics of her work.  Her vast experience has developed her 'eye' to quickly recognize those special, spontaneous moments that cannot be staged, and the quick reflexes to capture them.  She is known as 'vivacious' and 'great communicator', and delivers the most memorable moments in person and on film.

Sri is represented by Getty Images, and her work appears in thousands of international publications and advertisements  including Ebay, Neutrogena, Vogue, Seventeen, Shape Magazine and the New York Times to name a very few.

She has been a resident of  Coeur d'Alene Idaho for 5 years now and enjoys her work as much as her time with her family and friends.

Sri is known as a people photographer and has been covering a variety of Photography ranging from Weddings, to couple shoots, family ,children and portraits. Her services also include boudoir sessions and social media portraits.
